About
Good Life Gathering
" It is the way of the circle to help each other and for each to contribute their talents and skills for the well-being of the community. ... In the circle each person cares for the whole circle and the whole circle cares for each person."
Allen Aslan Heart, Prophecy of the Seventh Fire
Relatives,
We're happy and proud that the Good Life Gathering has developed into an unparalleled opportunity. Youth, Elders and Community Leaders. Since 2005, we are cultivating and sharing the ‘Good Life’ vision - to apply the wisdom of humankind and Spirit together for solutions that create oneness and peace for our Earth, businesses and people.
For Elders and adults of Spirit, vision and conscience, supporting the Gathering is a solid way to meet our responsibility to this and the next seven generations. Our youth, Elders and Community Leaders tell us that the Gathering is proving more valuable to their daily lives than most other health, education and environment events offered anywhere! For those who plan to attend, we encourage everyone to contact us as soon as possible with the visions, people, issues and dreams that you want to share.
It is so gratifying to witness the small and large victories that we have been catalyst to during past years. I believe that part of the reason for our success is Good Life Gathering’s focus to bring opportunities for every person involved to receive what they need for themselves. In this way, all are strengthened with new knowledge, resources and healing to carry back to our personal lives and communities.

My interest is to gather info to further develop our new project, the College of Applied Sustainability; our approach is very hands-on and focused toward employment/career/presently available solutions. Links to the work are at my wiserearth page.
My comments about the Educational Commons - so far - it seems somewhat removed from the work we need to do to provide useful accredited education to marginalized people, especially our aboriginal and rural youth and their families. It may be useful for developing educational opportunities for our youth at college level, many of whom are already developing their own opportunities, such as FreeSkools. |

I checked out the photos on the Good Life Gathering, it looked like you all had a nice time. Could you tell me more about your interesting in the educational commons? There are a few members of CC (coming together) who share quite a few of your interests and concerns, how that all melds into movement is of interest to all.

Perhaps you would be interested in collaborating with us?
The Good Life Gathering (GLG) for Youth, Elders and Community Leaders is increasing its capacity to offer education in applied sustainability solutions to young people. Within our cross-cultural network of young environmentalists, urban, rural and aboriginal youth, we host a summer gathering as well as provide a support and resource base. The GLG also functions as a networking and business incubator for business, housing and social development for youth groups and individuals. - check out our Wise Earth page and web site! |
