About  [Edit]

ENGAGE (the Educational Network for Global and Grassroots Exchange), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.

Our Mission

ENGAGE builds the next generation of global citizens by translating the study abroad experience into lifelong connections and cooperative action between peoples and social movements working towards a just and sustainable world.

Our Vision

The hope of building a world based on social, environmental, and economic justice rests largely on the ability to educate the next generation about the realities of global development and to inspire students to turn their education into action. Studying abroad provides students with a unique view on global development — who gains, who loses, and what is at stake for us all — as well as first-hand experience with people and social movements working to shape a different future.

ENGAGE is working to create a global network of students turning their international education into action, linking communities and movements globally through grassroots action for a just and sustainable world.
