WiserEarth Intern

WiserEarth is seeking an intern to help us improve our presence within the growing online network sites. This person will track the progress of the site and promote WiserEarth online and offline. This person will develop expertise in online organizing, and communications in the non-profit field.

Initial Tasks will include:

-Maintain existing profiles and groups with new content daily
-Write and post blogs, bulletins, and updates
-Grow our presence in key online social networks
-Stay up to date on the latest social networking tools, applications and features
-Follow Google Alerts of WiserEarth and maintain the WiserEarth media page
-Conduct online research and compile reports of research findings

Skills and Qualities Required:

-Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
-Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
-Strong online research skills
-Experience with online social networks
-Proficient using spreadsheets and word processing software
-Intellectual curiosity and creativity

Hours and Compensation:


Part-time Internship: Three-month commitment of 3 days/week, 9-5 PST, 20 hours minimum. This position includes a monthly stipend of up to $500, with travel costs reimbursed.

Positions are located in Sausalito, CA
