OIL SPILL UPDATE
The entire Bay Area is devastated
by the impact of this week’s oil spill.
LET'S SHARE ITS CHALLENGES, RESOURCES AND WAYS TO HELP.

Baykeeper.org suggests that people should not go to the shorelines or attempt to rescue birds from oil slicks without professional supervision.
Use the contacts below and listings of events to volunteer your time.

Oiled Wildlife Care Network - Volunteer
Oil Wildlife Care Network -Call (800) 228-4544. Team members require specific training.
OWCN also suggests that If you see oiled wildlife,do not approach it or pick it up. Instead, report it by calling (877) 823-6926 and ask for a search and collection team to come to the area. Teams are going out frequently. (Do not call this number to volunteer.)
