Baker’s Alley Maiden Voyage for Our New Community Earth Oven!

Sunday, November 16th, 10:00 am ~ 3:00 pm

 

Workshop Outline:

•History of Earth Ovens

•Thermal Mass

•Firing an Earth Oven

•Baking~ (Bread, Pizza, Biscuits, Roasted Veggies and Meat, Cookies and Scones)

•Recipe Sharing

 

Tracy Wolf has been baking since her grandmother taught her to make southern biscuits when she was a toddler, but in 2003 Tracy took the big leap, and quit her day job to pursue food full time. She hails from CCSF's Culinary Arts program, and the San Francisco Baking Institute. In 2007, she owned & operated The Old World Bakery in Bay City, Michigan before returning to the San Francisco area. She is currently working for the boutique chocolatier, Charles Chocolates, in Emeryville.

 

This is a "Potluck" workshop. Please bring dough and food for baking in the oven~ All beverages welcome (please feel free to bring wine, beer, kombucha, specialty teas, etc)

 

Musicians please bring your instruments!
