Hey Oz!
For some reason, the related links table on the right side of the HIV/AIDS portal doesn't seem to work for me. If I want to look at HIV/AIDS orgs or resources, I get a page that says 404 Not Found. The right bar seems to work for other portals, but just not HIV. Thanks! |

Thanks Oz! Sorry to leave a trail of bad html everywhere i go...

Molly, this issue is resolved. You should be able to edit pages with bad html now. I also fixed the html of the Seniors portal for you.
|
|
Molly, looking into a way to prevent this from happening again. Will let you know as soon as it is fixed.

Hey Oz, thanks for the profile help. Same thing happened today w/Seniors main portal. Preview my changes and they disappear. Any ideas? thanks!

Thank you!

hapatrees, Health Portal page is fixed. You can also email me if you come across similar html issues.

Hey Oz!
I know you're pretty busy, but I'd like to be able to edit the Health Main Portal page. I'm able to edit other Main portals, but for some reason I can't do the Health one. I can edit, but once I hit preview, everything disappears. Also, the right column is missing on that page for some reason. Thanks! |

hannahmac,
I will add a ticket to enable selecting an organization from the generic entry forms for Jobs and Events. In the mean time, if you would like to add an event/job sponsored by an organization, please add it from the organization's page. You will see the links on the right hand column. |
|
When I add an event the field for "Organization" is automatically filled with "none." Can we change this so we can better indicate who is sponsoring events?
Thanks! H PS - new site looks lovely jubbly! |

Peace. Some time ago, I had written a request for an Activity of Network Weaving. I'm not able to find that request in the list of comments below, but the activity has not yet been added.
I wanted to see if we could please move that forward. An Activity of Network Weaving will be essential to getting buy-in from the Network Weavers Network that we are developing. Those people will be among your most active users. And, there are a whole lot of people who relate to the term Network Weaver and will want to self-identify with it. Community Organizer is the only term you have that comes close, and it ain't all that close! Thanks for your consideration. |

Paul,
More info would help in tracking the issue, but I am willing to bet that you're trying to upload an image file that is too large (max size allowed is 1megabyte for now 1024KB). I need to get proper error messages returning in the gallery view, but I'm pretty sure the functionality is sound. Try uploading a smaller jpg. |
|
Upload photos does not seem to be working...for me.

Thanks Noel. I'll check out the HTML validation library...very helpful for a total novice like me. Anything you can do to make this aspect of the site more user-friendly is very welcome. Cheers Camilla :) PS I'll try using the chat room too, as i haven't been there yet.

Hey Camilla,
WikiPages are just a generic page for pure content purposes. We use them for the home page and documentation mainly, but they are free for anyone to create and use. We don't really know or want to anticipate how the community will use them. With that said, we may or may not want to put structure on them such as what you suggest. We shall see. As for the second suggestion, it has been on the table for a while now. I too am getting sick of logging in all the time ( and I log in to the development server too) -- probably more than most people. Anyway, it's definitely slated. Oh and another thing. We just added an html validation library that will help you to create properly formed html in your wiki content. It doesn't automatically correct anything or force you to fix errors (yet), but it hopefully provides you feedback to quickly find your mistakes and correct them. I admit it's not the most intuitive thing in the world. I tried to set it up in a way that I felt helpful to me. I am well aware that my html skills are much more advanced than the average user, so I'm looking for feedback on this one. Feel free to msg me privately if you need any guidance. I'll try to help. There's also the chat room. We need to get some momentum going on that soon. |
|
You're probably doing this already, but could we offer a 'save the password' feature so that users don't have to login each time? Cheers Camilla

A quick question about wikipages...will users be able to search through these by 'areas of focus' or by categories in some way so that someone can easily browse through different topics that they are interested in? I'm just interested in how these will work for different users. Camilla

Noel - I really like the scroll box in the page - it feels much cleaner than having to scroll down for ever.
Camilla :) |
|
uh oh! Yeah we'll look into that...hopefully not a huge issue.
By the way, how does everybody feel about the way comments scroll inside a box now? It makes pagination and add comment stay on the screen as you read comments and you no longer have to scroll back up to the top after you paginate. Is it better or worse? Let us know. UPDATE: Hannah, check the resources you saw the errors in. They should be ok now. In the database where I saw only years and no month or day, I just set it to january 1st for now. We still need to figure out the best way to handle publish dates for resources. But at least there is no more munged data. |

I was wondering if it is at all possible to increase the character max for the address of an organization? Some foreign addresses are very long and don't quite fit in the space provided, and I'd hate to lose any important information just because the address is too long.
Thanks!
