What is WiserEarth Taxonomy Based On?

WiserEarth uses the principles from the Earth Charter as the backbone for its taxonomy. We have renamed these principles 'Issue areas'. They are used to connect our community and content. In doing so, WE (the WiserEarth community) show that we are committed to:

1. Respect Earth and life in all its diversity.

2. Care for the community of life with understanding, compassion, and love.

3. Build democratic societies that are just, participatory, sustainable, and peaceful.

4. Secure Earth's bounty and beauty for present and future generations.

Hey utsav, thanks for stopping by. This is just a mockup, not a live page. And it's not final yet. Just to give us some ideas of how things might look like if we go with this simplification of AoF with Earth Charter and then add tagging for greater flexibility.
