New Wind Concept

Alternative Power Idea = Mini Wind/Solar Power Generators Mounted on the tops of Existing Telephone/Power Poles

I have come up with an idea that I think could really make a difference. It uses existing alternative power technology, and an existing infrastructure. The idea is this: instead of large windfarms with huge, wind turbines, I propose small wind turbines about two feet across with a combination solar fin system on the back of them like the feathers on the back of an arrow. They would look and operate similar to a weathervane.

The real original idea to this concept is that these mini wind/solor power generators would be mounted on the top of all the telephone poles in the country and then linked together in a giant daisy chain power grid system. The telephone/power poles already exist and there are millions of them.

In addition, there could be small waterproof power stations (docking stations for up to 20 blocks) at the base of say, 10 poles or so, that collect the power and store the power in power blocks. These power blocks would essentially look like giant legos and snap together as such. Once a power block was fully charged, you could take it directly into your house and plug in a light, or a computer or whatever into it.

smaller versions of this mini wind/solor turbine could be mounted on the tops of cars and generate power, storing the power in power blocks that you could then take into your house just as you do the other ones.

I think this idea has merit for many reasons and is definitely a realistic solution to the energy problem. The small turbines would create energy in even a light wind, and the solar panels would always be generating something.

The mounting system for the top of the poles would also be relatively simple to build. I have it worked out in my head already.

Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas on how I can go forward with this idea.

Thanks for you time.

great idea

Do you have any technical expertise to move this forward? I see the company Ice Designs is graphic design. Very cool. No pun intended.

Im a mechanical engineer and am looking to put my experience towards the greater good
