Demographics

Demographics is the quantitative study of population size and structure by age groups and sex as well as geographic distribution and is general to all animals. Demographics is important to sustainable futures. Industrialized nations are top-heavy with citizens beyond working age. Nonindustrialized nations have many unskilled young citizens. Reconciling the flow of human migrants to meet labor and elder-care needs as well as to support families in developing nations is a major concern. Demographics are also crucial to wildlife management policies.

Good people, friends and colleagues,

PLEASE NOTE that apparently unforeseen and clearly unwelcome research on human population dynamics has just been published in the current issue of the journal, HUMAN ECOLOGY. The article to which I want to draw your attention is "Genetic Feedback and Human Population Regulation" by Russell Hopfenberg, Ph.D. Additional scientific evidence of the human overpopulation of Earth is available at the link, www.panearth.org.
