Environmental Monitoring

Environmental monitoring is the practice of quantifying the impact on the environment of various activities from measuring a community's ecological footprint, to measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and monitoring the retreat over time of the polar icecap-an indicator of global warming.
