Endemic Plant Species Protection

Endemic plants are exclusively and uniquely native to a place, biome, or region, and not naturally found anywhere else. Regions or places with high endemism include the tropical moist forests of Hawaii, the Fynbos in South Africa, and lowland forests of Madagascar. Endemic plants are susceptible to clear-cutting, agriculture (both modern and swidden) and grazing by domesticated animals.
